UEZ 2025

Our world has almost entered the age of geopolitical shocks and uncertainties. From Asia to Europe, from the Middle East to the Balkans, political and  military tensions and conflicts are rising one after another in many regions of the world. Despite the progresses made with the leverage effect of technological and scientific developments in many fields from health to science, from agriculture to information technologies, from education to art, there are many uncertainties that overshadow the path and future of humanity.

So is it possible to implement growth strategies that can improve living standards while producing solutions to global conflicts and geopolitical shocks in such a conjuncture?

Of course it is possible. Risks also carry opportunities. If we can realise the energy transition, in other words, the “green transformation” quickly, fairly and inclusively, we will also have solved a critical issue for the resolution of global and regional geopolitical problems, conflicts and wars.

Today, the doors of a new era are opening with digitalisation and artificial intelligence bringing concepts such as society 5.0, education 5.0, industry 5.0, which are described as “supersmart”, to our agenda. The concept of Industry 4.0 is mentioning with Germany and the concept of Society 5.0 is mentioning with Japan… What is the Future 5.0?

Advanced applications of new technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotic technologies, cyber security, blockchain in areas such as education, health, finance, defence can increase the welfare of the whole world with proper use and regulations. In fact, it can create a bright, happy future where the light and effect of these technologies are reinforced by the environment of peace and tranquillity. Here is the name of these bright tomorrows; “The future is 5.0!’’
