He began his career in 1992 as a civil engineer at STFA. He later worked in the United States as a project engineer and manager at Kennedy & Rossi Inc. and Walsh Brothers Inc. He first joined the Soyak Group in 1998, serving as Assistant General Manager at Soyak Construction. He then continued at Soyak Holding as Project Development Coordinator. From 2001 to 2008, he held the positions of General Manager and Board Member at Soyak Yapı. In 2008, he was appointed CEO of Soyak Holding. Dr. Çamlıbel is also active in academia, with internationally published work in the fields of energy, real estate, and sustainability. He teaches as a visiting lecturer at MIT and Columbia University, and continues his academic work as an Associate Professor at Vilnius Business College in Lithuania. He serves on the boards of several companies in which RePie Portföy has invested, including Turknet, ARF Bio, and GTC Solar. In addition, he is a Board Member of the Affordable Housing Institute in the United States. Dr. Çamlıbel holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Yıldız Technical University. He completed his master’s degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the U.S. and earned his PhD from Boğaziçi University, focusing on energy efficiency and conservation, energy systems, sustainability, and carbon applications.
