After graduating from Department of Computer Engineering at Eastern Mediterranean University, Koray Bahar started his career as a software developer at FIT Solutions. During this period he founded his first company, Dotto and worked on Microsoft platforms and mobile applications. After selling his shares in Dotto in 2012, he returned to FIT Solutions as a partner in 2013.
After that, continuing his career as the General Manager and Partner of Foriba, a company operating in the RegTech sector, he managed the acquisition of Foriba by Sovos, one of the world's leading tax technology company, in 2019. Following the Foriba exit, which was recognized as one of the most notable "exits" of recent years, Koray Gültekin Bahar took on the role of VP of EMEA Strategy, guiding Sovos' strategy in the Middle East and Asia. At the end of January 2020, he left Sovos Foriba to focus on Figopara, a fintech firm he had previously founded to help companies manage their cash flow and working capital.
Since February 2020, Bahar has been serving as the CEO of Figopara.
