Elisabetta Falcetti is the EBRD Managing Director for Türkiye and the Caucasus. She is accountable for EBRD investment and policy activities in the region.

Prior to this role, from September 2021, Ms Falcetti was the Regional Head, Poland and Baltics. During this period, Annual Business Investment in Poland doubled from €598m in 2021 to a record of €1.3bn in 2023, becoming the 3rd largest country after Türkiye and Ukraine, while business activity in the Baltic States sustained to a new high of €300m per year on average.

In 2013, she became Director, Sector Economics and Policy in the Vice Presidency, Policy and Partnerships. She was also a member of the EBRD Investment Committee. Ms Falcetti joined the EBRD in 2000 in London as a Country Economist in the Office of the Chief Economist, where she held a number of roles, including Senior Sector Economist in Ukraine, Lead Economist for Turkey.

Ms Falcetti, a dual Italian and British national, holds two Ph.D.s in Economics, from L. Bocconi University (Milan, Italy) and the London School of Economics (UK).
