Ömer Barbaros Yiş graduated with a double major degree in Business Administration and Economics from Koç University. He later obtained his Master’s and Ph.D. qualification degrees in Economic Analysis from Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona. After his academic career, he began working at Turkcell, holding various positions in the marketing department. He then joined the strategic consulting firm Peppers & Rogers, where he provided management consultancy in the telecommunications sector across more than 30 countries.
In 2013, he joined Türk Telekom and served as the Marketing Director until 2017. In 2017, he rejoined Turkcell, where he worked for one year as the Director of Strategic Marketing and Corporate Revenue Management. As of December 2018, he was appointed as the Executive Vice President of Marketing at Turkcell. In April 2020, he left Turkcell to join LC Waikiki, where he was served as the General Manager responsible for E-Commerce.
YİŞ, who joined Karaca in December 2024, continues his career as "Karaca International General Manager"
Ömer Barbaros Yiş is married and has two children.
